Master an Iconic Alaskan Aircraft
All of our flight training is conducted in our meticulously maintained Aeronca Sedan on floats. This classic aircraft is the quintessential Alaskan bush plane, perfect for developing true stick-and-rudder skills. You will gain hands-on experience in an authentic floatplane, preparing you for a wide range of aviation adventures.
Your Flight Training Session: What to Expect
We structure every session for maximum learning and value, ensuring your time with us is both productive and unforgettable.
- Total Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
- Structure:
- 15-Minute Pre-Flight Briefing: We’ll discuss your specific goals, weather conditions, and the flight plan for the day. This is your chance to customize the session, whether you want to focus on takeoffs and landings, pattern work at remote lakes, or advanced mountain flying techniques.
- 1-Hour Hands-On Flight: You will be at the controls from the captain’s seat (left seat) for the entire hour, executing maneuvers and building real-world experience under Wes’s expert guidance.
- 15-Minute Post-Flight Debrief: We’ll review the flight, discuss what went well, identify areas for improvement, and answer all of your questions. Wes will then sign your logbook.
What’s Included in Your Session:
- One full hour of loggable flight time in our Aeronca Sedan floatplane.
- Personal, one-on-one instruction from CFI Wes Head.
- A customized flight plan tailored to your specific pilot goals.
- Option for a guest to ride along in the back seat to share the experience.
